Newton's Laws
Issac Newton is famous of his Law of Motion and Law of Gravity.

Law 1. In the absence of a net force, a body at rest remains at rest, and a body in motion remains in motion indefinitely along the same straight line.

Law 2. In the presence of a net force, an object experiences an acceleration.

Law 3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Law of Gravity: Any two objects attract each other with the universal force of gravity.

What are force, mass, inertia, and energy?

Force: When you kick your sister in the shin, you are using force.

Mass: If she is fat she has lots of mass.

Inertia: Being fat, she will not be able to chase you. She has inertia.

Energy: Every time you kick her, molecules in the form of waves pass from your foot to her shin. This is energy. There can be lots of energy, like a nuclear bomb, or a tiny amount, like when one of your brain cells dies.

Second Thoughts
by Carol Moore.

Science fiction is more than just supposition about future science, technology, and encounters with unknown life forms. It is also a metaphor for human nature and our success or failure in how cultures interact
